Setting a solid foundation of basic skills
for students is a priority for Stafford. From this foundation a
driver gains confidence, proficiency, and achievement of excellence.
Recent Highlights:
In 2004 Stafford won the
National Single Pony Championship driving Beverley Lesher’s Morgan
mare, Courage to Lead (Katy). She and Katy were undefeated during
2004 competition year.
In 2005 Stafford became the
first American driver to win a gold medal in international
competition, driving Sybil Humphrey's welsh cob Cefnoakpark Bouncer
to first place at the World Pony Driving Championship in England.
Bouncer went on to become one of only five horses in the United
States to be nominated as 2005 United States Equestrian Federation
Horse of the Year.
Stafford was named 2005
Driver of the Year by The Chronicle of the Horse.
Suzy was a member of the
2007 United States Equestrian earning a team bronze medal.

Stables
Sixteen individual
lesson slots are available. A lesson will be roughly 45
minutes long. The prescheduled assigned times range from 8:00am to
4:00pm with last lesson ending at 5:00pm.Times are assigned on first
come and complete registration basis. Suzy will work with you on the
3-phases of Combined Driving: Dressage, Marathon(obstacles) and
Cones. Please indicate what phases you wish to work on or any issues
you would like to cover with Suzy. So, she can prepare an individual
lesson plan for you!
Registration Must be
accompanied by the following:
Check in appropriate
amount (payable to BVDC)
Current negative
Coggins Test dated within one year or less
Signed club release
(form available on club website,
www.bvdc.org )
Registration includes coffee/ tea
/beverages.
