Brandywine Valley Driving Club Fun Day 2006

Drive portion has been cancelled due to flooding.

Pig Roast is still scheduled.

Do not bring horses and trailers

but please do come for the food.

Costumes are encouraged.

Theme: TV Commericals

Where: Eden Valley Farm; John and Penny Hunt, Spring City, PA

(bordering Chester and Montgomery Counties)

Time: Arrive between 9:00 am and Noon

Lunch served between 11:30 and 2:30

Again thanks to the generosity of John and Penny Hunt, this will be a day of fun equine and social activities for BVDC members

All whips must be BVDC members but guests are welcomed as are Mini’s!

	You will wind your way down approximately 8 miles of the Eden Valley Farm. The cross country course will be through fields and woods. Two new trails added for 2006!
	There will be a cones course timed in the horse ring and two untimed practice hazards in the open field near the parking area.
	Prizes for theme decorations/costumes of carriage, horse, or person.
	Delicious roasted pork sandwiches and all the trimmings in the shade of grand old trees
	Ample parking in mowed hay field with access to Port-a-potty

Bring:

Water for equines, current Coggins, BVDC liability disclaimer form filled out (if you can) from the website.

Directions:

From Pottstown: south on route 100 to route 724. Go east/south toward Phoenixville. At Bridge Street and 724, go east/left on Bridge Street into the town of Spring City. Look for N. Church Street on the left before you cross the Schuylkill River (Penn Street will be the street before N. Church). Left on N. Church Street to gravel driveway of the farm. Watch for BVDC signs.

From the South: go to Exton, PA and follow route 100 north to route 113. Go east/right and follow all the way to Phoenixville. At the intersection of 113 and route 23, go left/west on route 23 to right on route 724. Take to Bridge Street. Go right/east on Bridge Street into the town of Spring City, look for N. Church street on the left before you cross the Schuylkill River. (Penn Street will be the street before N. Church). Left on N. Church Street to gravel driveway of the farm. Watch for BVDC signs.
