Rigg-Pannebecker will host the September Pleasure Drive at Daniel Boone
Homestead in Berks County September 28, 2008 (Sat.) Drive off @
11:00. Directions can be found at www.danielboonehomestead.org.
10 mile drive on black top. Water available for horses. Privy available
for humans. Bring your own lunch, cold beverages will be available at the
picnic pavilion. Please RSVP to Susan at

Middle Creek Wildlife Area -
Drive-off
at 10:00, lunch to follow. Bring side dish or dessert, refrigerator/oven on
site.
Drive
is thru Middle Creek Wildlife Area, and state game lands. Road is hard
packed surface with gravel. Recommend shoes with studs or borium. Mostly level,
however there is one moderate hill which we travel in both directions (up,
down). 9 miles total. We will take a break midway thru the drive. Casual
attire. Pace is walk/trot, with emphasis on the walk.
This
is a scenic drive, mostly all wooded. NO rain date Address -

from nearest intersection. 501 and 322 (Brickerville). From
this intersection go east towards Ephrata for 6/10 mile, then turn
left (North) on Hopeland Road for 1.4 miles. Driveway is on left, stone
driveway approx 1/4 mile long, you won't see much from the road except 988 on
mailbox, and farm sign "Thunder Ridge Farm".
